The work on this site represents about 6 years of work.

There is a combination of disciplines but all have to do with paint, color and technique. Many decorative painters are also visual artists and that is the case with myself.

 

In school I majored in art and spent nearly 4 extra years studying other areas when needed, like interior design, graphic arts, figure drawing. I learned a lot while working with Jennifer Carrasco (Seattle) and  as an office assistant for Pierre Finklestein (well known decorative painter and author) in NYC for a short time. I also worked in the local professional theater as an assistant scenic painter. That work is also challenging but it is different because it is not meant to last much longer than the show. One cool thing was though that you could go to the show and stare at your work while the play is going. My business is based in Tacoma WA which is part of the Puget Sound Region, and located just 45 miles south of Seattle and 50 miles north of Olympia. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to talking to you about your project!
