Guidelines of Services and Fees Initial Visit
To secure my services so I will provide custom samples and additional meetings a $150. fee is required. You will receive custom color matched samples and or comprehensive drawings if a mural or other artwork are part of your project. Faux Samples If the work requires more than one sample, there are additional charges. New custom samples: $45. per sample Custom Design In-studio design work is offered where I paint small-scale elevations of your project as a step in the design phase. You can help prepare for this meeting by having a picture or photo of previously chosen colors, fabrics, textiles etc. to help influence the design. Tear sheets from interior home magazines are very helpful as well as color chips from your favorite paint store Design time: $45. per hour Other Services Art Consultation I also can be very helpful in the fine art department. You may want to hang art on your walls, but are not sure how to start the whole process. After many years working in the art field and showing art, I have a wealth of information to share with the under exposed soul. The art world is a very comfortable place for me and I am happy to be your guide. By visiting your space and listening to your thoughts and opinions, I will put together a plan for you that is specific to each area in your interior. I have a philosophy that I live by; ”purchase only original art!” I can teach you some very important things you must know before buying art. The fee for my services is $45. per hour. See David N. Goldberg and CJ Swanson art sites Commissions Custom original artwork can be made for you and the specific area in your home. You may have always desired a landscape of a favorite place you go. To have that image created for you in oils on canvas is really something of value. Some clients want a big abstract painting to fit in a certain area of the living room or dining room. Commissioning a painting to be done especially for you can do all this. The way this works is we will talk about your aesthetic in art and look at your interior space to get a feel for scale. We will also look at examples of my paintings and of other artists. The prices for commissioned paintings are decided upon before beginning to the work. The artist accepts ˝ down and the remaining balance at delivery of the artwork. Design Consultation My fee for consultation is $45. per hour, this meeting is very much like the first visit to the clients job-site. We will discuss the needs for the room or rooms, look at samples and color swatches. I will do measurements of the area and make some quick sketches. I will also take notes per our dialog. The difference is you receive a folder with copies of drawings and a plan of my ideas with color samples and a thought out schematic. This will have an overall plan with inspirations and visuals for you to consider. All of the fees above are applied to the cost estimate if you hire me to do work in your space.

At the first
meeting, I will visit the potential job site and have a dialog about
what you want to accomplish. We will also look at my sample and job
portfolios. I may take measurements of the space and we could look
at a color swatch book as well. This should take roughly 45 minutes
to one hour. The first meeting is free of charge in the city of
Tacoma. Travel time is an additional $20. /hour.
